WRENCH FLATS:
Standard for easy attach-
ment on rod diameters up to
and inclusive of 3.50”.
Larger rod diameters are
provided with spanner holes.
8)
HEAD CUSHION:
Floating head end cushions
are rod shoulder retained.
Extended taper allows close
tolerance, reduced shock
load, and extended deceler-
ation curve with minimum
wear.
5)
HEAVY DUTY BUSHING:
The rod bearing is a precision
machined heavy wall bronze
one piece threadless design,
pilot fitted into the head on a
precision bored diameter en-
suring concentricity. The extra
long bearing provides maxi-
mum support, low friction and
maximum resistance to wear.
The bearing incorporates the
rod wiper, rod seal and bearing
seal. The bearing design pro-
vides the capability to utilize a
wide variety of wiper and seal
styles and materials
4)
PISTON ROD:
Piston rods up to and includ-
ing 4.50” diameter have a
minimum yield of 100,000
PSI. Rod diameters over
4.50”
use 50,000 PSI yield
steel. All rods are hard
chrome plated and polished
to resist wear and corrosion.
6)
ROD WIPER:
Double lip rod wiper designed
to protect the piston rod, bear-
ing and rod seal is standard
with all rod diameters.
7)
ROD SEAL:
Lip type U-Seals compensate
for wear, provide excellent
abrasion resistance, leak proof
performance and long operat-
ing life.
9)
PORTS:
Large unrestricted ports pro-
vide for maximum flow.
NPTF ports are supplied as
standard, SAE straight
threads also available.
3)
BEARING RETAINER:
Circular retainer permits ac-
cess to and removal of the
bearing without loosening
tie rods. Some limitations
apply.
